About Me

My names Keighley, Dimples Scraps is named after my Daughter Darcie who has the biggest and cutiest dimples ever, she has many nick names but Darcie Dimples is my favourite.
Im from Accrington, Lancashire in the UK, i live with my childhood sweetheart Thomas (Tom), we have been together since we was 16 and finally tied the knot in May last year (after 11years together). We have two beautiful children Thomas (TJ) who’s 6years old, he loves computer gaming and all things superhero and Darcie who’s 2years old , shes a typical toddler, lots of tantrums, mess and cheekiness but she can be such a sweet little thing, lots of kisses and cuddles, theres never a dull moment with Darcie around. We also have two fur babies, Spud (Staffie) whos been with us since he was a puppy, we got him just after TJ was born, a new born and puppy was really chaotic but it was all worth it because they have an amazing bond and really are best friends. Spud has an amazing temperament and loves children, we call him our Nanny Dog, where ever the kids are hes right behind them. Our 2nd fur baby is Pippa the cat, she doesnt really like the toddler (which is understandable 😂), shes more for me and loves a cuddle, specailly in an evening once the kids are in bed.

Iv always loved making things, even as a child i was always colouring, drawing and making things, my mum taught me to cross stitch quite young which i loved, in secondary school I did Art and Textiles GCSE getting a B in Art and an A in Textiles. At 17 my mum bought me a scrapbooking set and thats when my scrapbooking journey began (although then it was nothing like it is today). Once my babies came along it was alot harder to fit in time to scrapbook and my local craftshop closed so for quite a few years my crafty stash was all hidden away. I then found Mind The Scrap on Facebook in May last year (just before my wedding), I loved looking at everyones layouts and in June I bought my first Mind The Scrap Kit and Subscribed, since then my love for scrapbooking returned and i scrapbook regularly and make that time for myself (mainly in an evening when little hands aren’t around).

Adventure

Good Morning, last night I scrapped this layout using my Mind The Scrap Feb Kit. I was so inspired by the Stick It Down sketch made by Laura Rumble, as soon as i saw it I knew i wanted to hand-stitch a large heart. I love hand-stitching on layouts. I also joined in the alphabet challenge on Mind The Scrap’s Facebook Group A is for Adventure. Original Sketch   I joined in on the Stick It Down crop but this is my first time entering a Stick It Down challenge on the blog (hope i can figure out what I'm doing 😂, I'm not techy at all)  Mind The Scrap Stick It Down

We Are Here

Hey Everyone, Yesterday my March Mind The Scrap It arrived and i couldnt wait to get stuck in. I took inspiration from the March Stick It Down Sketch. I handstitched my title, something i really enjoy doing, and used the travel themed embelishments and stickers from the kit, although we only holiday in the UK, alot of the stickers and embellishments in the kit are still perfect for me to use.  Stick It Down Sketch Thank You For Looking Keighley xx
